Instructions to increase number of items in taskbar jump lists

I'm trying to increase the number of recent and pinned items shown in my taskbar jump lists.

Are the instructions at the following link valid and is it OK to create a new entry as described?

What are the steps to create the new entry? (Is "entry" the right term?)

Also, I noticed in the screenshot, the box says: "Edit DWORD (32-bit) Value". I'm running Windows 10 64-bit so does that make a difference?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

To create it, right click onto HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced and select "new"->dword (32 bit). Your system's 64 bit are not related to this.
