Hi Experts,

I am trying to change where the Cisco Aironet 2600 gives out IP addresses from. It is setup to give out IP addresses from Windows DHCP server but I am not able to find the option in the UI to point it to the new server. Can someone with this UI advise please?

Thanks

As far as I know I have only done this via the Cisco IOS CLI. It is easy to do once you have the CLI connected.  Configuring DHCP Option 43 and DHCP Option 60 (Scroll down or click the Configuring DHCP Option 43 and DHCP Option Link)

Edit: Reference: info for DHCP Option 43 vs 60

APs don't have any DHCP relay functions. They are layer2 devices.  DHCP packets pass straight through so look at the router if the client is on a different subnet to the DHCP server.

Is the AP joined to a controller or is it standalone?

So nothing to do with the AP.

Do you have a router with DHCP relay enabled?

Yes possibly a switch with DHCP relay enabled. I will check on that
