Visual Studio Code/simple-ftp Question

Is there a way to set it so that when I ftp files to the server from VS Code using simple-ftp that they can go to the same file on the server relative to the file they are on inn my local machine or should I use a different upload utility?  If I need to use a different upload utility I am open to suggestions, as long as it works from within VC Code.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

All versions of FTP require you to explicitly select the directory where you want to upload a file.  If it is several levels deep, you have to select each one in sequence.

Hmmm...when I worked with WebMatrix I simply did a right-click and selected "Upload to Server" or something like that and it updated the correct page...but they took that utility away from me.  :(

Hmmm... that has never worked with FTP in the last 35 years.  WebMatrix may have been using 'WebDav'.  Or even attaching the web server as a mapped drive if it all belongs to the same organization.  Or maybe WebMatrix was just 'smarter'.
