Microsoft Excel Data Validation - Avoid Duplicate

Hello,

I have data validation configured gathering from list of data from Sheet 2 and displaying information using Data Validation on Sheet 1.

However, my goal is: When the object is already listed using data validation on Sheet 1's cell A2 for example, selections for cell A3 becomes limited and information provided on cell A2 should no longer appear
on the selection for other cells (e.g. A4) and moving forward.

Is this something possible?

Thanks a lot! Really poor excel skills here and trying to fix that up and couldn't help but to reach some experts out there.

Cheers!

Hi Ben,

Probably easiest if you could post your file and we can add to it - creating from scratch or trying to type it all up will be laborious.

Thanks,

Alan.

Data-Validation-Test.xlsxHi Alan,

Thank you for your advise.

I have attached now an excel file of what I am trying to achieve and screenshot of what I am trying to attain in the data validation.

So basically, when doing data validation you list of names and you want to select items from those list of names.

What I want to happen is that, when moving into a different cell, whatever I have already selected should no longer appear as part of the current selection as shown on the screenshot.

Thanks!
Ben
