550 SMTP Error For Email Address that exists

I get a 550 error message for one of our email address that I have created in cpanel. I know I'm typing it correctly and it's the only email address that does not work. I've tried deleting it from Cpanel and creating it again, same issue. Any ideas on how to fix this?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

There are two issue with your mail
1 550 5 address incorrect or address is not exit
2 5.1.10: spoofing:The email address it was sent to doesn’t exist, and you got the bounce message for it. This type of bounce message is called backscatter and it can be ignored or deleted.

Solution:
Verify that the recipient's email address is correct and then send your message again. If that doesn't solve the problem, get in touch with the recipient and ask them to check their forwarding rules and settings.

Hope you get answer

Thank you for your response but I don't believe you read my question. I'm only having issues with this 1 email address (it's my wife's). It's spelled correctly.

I'm the admin for my VPS so I have access to WHM and cPanel. I've already tried deleting and recreating the email address and that didn't resolve anything. What forwarding rules should I be looking at as I don't have any setup in cPanel for this email address?
David FavorLinux/LXD/WordPress/Hosting SavantCommented:
Maybe CPanel isn't firing all it's creation hooks correctly.

Try creating some other random email address + see if that works.

If not, then CPanel is wedged.

If it works, then refer to all your CPanel + other system logs to determine the error.

If you don't have access to these logs, open a support ticket with your hosting company for assistance, as easiest path is access to all logs to debug + fix this problem.
