Access cross tab query used for column relationships

Hi

I am looking for a solution  to look at relationships between matching columns on a records set (see below).  This  maybe a data manipulation question but I do think I have used an Access cross tab similarly in the past.  Can this be done through a Access cross tab and if so how?

Example:
Data input
            Role 1      Role 2      Role 3
      Process 1      x            x
      Process 2            x

Desired output            Role 1      Role 2      Role 3
      Role 1      x            x
      Role 2            x
      Role 3      x            x

Your example is not alligned so its hard to determine what it is supposed to show.  Please tell us in words what you want to do.

The first input is not normalized so starting from that point, you can't even use a crosstab without creating a union query to normalize the data.

It looks like you are trying to show which Roles are used together but to what end?

So If you read  Role 1 in the list you can see Role3 also does the same as Role 1
If you read Row 2 , it only does the role and no other role does what it does .
???
I am with Pat, ...please post the actual input table (or spreadsheet)
Then post a spreadsheet of the "exact" output you need.
