OCR, Mac and HP LaserJet MFP M127fw

I need OCR software that runs on a Mac, with the scanned images coming from my HP LaserJet MFP M127fw.

What options do I have?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I dont see any native OCR software from HP with this scanner.  If you want a cheap solution, you could scan to PDF and then use the OCR scanner inside of Adobe Acrobat but its not perfect when scanning at times around things like signatures.  You need to purchase Adobe Acrobat; the Adobe reader does not have OCR feature.  In Acrobat, the OCR feature is under tools.  There may be other PDF editors that do the same function such as Foxit that you may want to review for cost comparison.

If money is not a obstacle then I would use this:
If you need high quality OCR, I recommend FineReader.    https://www.abbyy.com/en-us/finereader/pro-for-mac/
