Outlook Mac - Download new emails only

Hi,

I just installed Outlook in a Mac but it downloads all emails from my hotmail accounts, there are thousands of emails.

Is there an option where I can only select to download new emails? I can this on a PC but I can't seem to find this option on the Mac.

Thank you.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

True.

There is no sync slider feature in Outlook 2016 for Mac.

Microsoft has received the above request in their uservoice forum in Dec 2015 and have not implemented such feature up to now.

What you can do?

Do archiving of your old mails.

How?

It is time consuming to do and you need to do archiving in web mail first.
