Download Free Video Editor

The video editor is intended for editing video files and creating videos of any complexity involving various visual and audio effects. The program offers rich functionality and yet has a simple and intuitive interface, allowing you to create videos with a bare minimum of efforts.

I'm using Super for video conversion.

Dear t Ryan Chong:
I meant a free program. That program is not free. Do you know any free program for that?
Thanks
You could use a free version of that.

Dear Paul Sauvé:
Would you please send me a simple instruction to reduce a video file size. That program is very complicated and whatever I do, I get the attached message which I must pay.
Thanks

You need to use an open source software like VirtualDub if you do not want to pay a cent at all.

Reducing size of a video is a paid feature for most commercial software.

I would also suggest to use virtualdub, as Jackie Man did.
Depending on your source video, you may have to install plugins to support the video codec

Quick start:
- Start virtualdub
- Open your video file (ctrl + o)
- select Video Full processing mode
- select the Video Compression type (ctrl + p)
- select Audio Full processing mode
- select the Audio Compression codec (usually AC-3 or MPEG-3)
- choose any filter (ctrl + f) you want to use to modify your video ("resize" to change screen size, also allows cropping)
- run by selecting File -> Save as AVI (or press F7)
Would you please send me a simple instruction to reduce a video file size. That program is very complicated and whatever I do, I get the attached message which I must pay.
sorry about that, i thought the free version would include video conversion - my bad

you may have better luck with VLC
One thing
you can reduce the overall size of a video by using mp3 as the audio not ac3 that makes it larger.
I use DVDVideo free Studio, from DVDsoft it runs in windows 10 as windows 7.
https://www.dvdvideosoft.com/
you can make a donation right thing to do or just use it for free.
I donated 7 dollars once
The Studio includes 12  free programs but I only use the record / convert and video editor
Download the free studio and then use the convert to mp4 choose your output size
Here's how it looks. When you open it choose from the top tabs, if that program is not installed clicking onit will install it.
User generated imageThe Convert to mp4 window  here you choose the output size and the format

If using windows 7 it includes Windows Moviemaker drag and drop video on and export the video choose your output from a vast selection offered.
One side-note concerning VirtualDub:
If your PC has a GPU, make sure you have the display driver for your GPU installed as VirtualDub runs much (!) faster with GPU support.

Dear Ryan Chong:
I used the above link. it killed my firefox and chrome for nonsense ads. I had to reinstall some softwares on my PC. Although it worked, but it is not worth of using it with that many ads.

Dear Jackie Man:
VirtualDub does not support MP4 !!!
There is no need to convert as VirtualDub does support MP4 -- you only have to install a plugin (like FFDshow) for it.
I wrote this earlier in my comments already.

Dear Merete:
https://www.dvdvideosoft.com/ has too many ads and the output has watermark. Not good.

Dear Jackie Man:
I read the instruction about http://www.real.com/realplayer
It does not say the software reduces the file size.
Realplayer convert is to change the video format.

Have you tried the Android app?
I know that VirtualDub works fine as I am always using it for my purposes.
It supports MP4 very well, just have to install the plugin.

Why don't you follow this road? It's proven to work.

To ads, no bloatware, no hazzle ...

Thanks anyway
You are mistaken A E, It has no water marks?
If you're not interested okay but dont make false statements.
I use the Studio which includes all the programs
Water marks? in the video converter? What are you talking about.

Dear Merete:
Please see the attached info.
See the result of a video I converted with that program.
Do you see the watermark?
Do you have anything to say!?

Obviously, you have downloaded the wrong tool.

Merete asked you to download "Free Studio" only, not Free MP4 video converter.

But. it seems that the website for the above software is no good at all. My Acronis True Image 2018 thinks that their ads are ransomware source.

Dear Jackie Man:
I am using the right tool which is  "Free Studio". Please pay attention to the version Mr. Merete is using --->
https://filedb.experts-exchange.com/incoming/2017/11_w46/1210618/convert-to-smaller.jpg

He is using Premium version. That is why he does not get the watermark!!!
Do you see the word "Premium" next to the version number of the program?
Nevermind, forget it and move forward. Not worthy to discuss a tool which you will not use.

I will not use it if I think it is not secure.

The website hosting the ads might be compromised by malware which is spreading ransomware.
