A single mailbox exchange 2010 failed to migrate to exchange 2016

Hi there,

I try to migrate a mailbox exchange 2010 to exchange 2016, but always it was failed. is there any command to resolve it?

Have you migrated several mailboxes and only one failing?
If so, you might have to set higher than default amount of corrupted items in that mailbox.
Simply increase amount of BadItemLimit when creating a move request. Also AcceptLargeDataLoss might be also required, if amount of corrupted items is high.

Yep, generally this would be caused by some corrupt emails in the user's mailbox. Usually it is a attachments, and usually the user concerned is not aware of any problems. Typically it will be something like a GIF that is part of a signature in the middle of a long forgotten email chain in sent items, or an attachment in spam that was just ignored.

You COULD try exporting the users email to a .PST, then importing back into a new profile on the new server. This will not gain anything, but may help you figure out where what is corrupt.

I get TransientFailureSource in status detail, have you experience about it?

Agree with Mal Osborne, this would be caused by some corrupt emails. In this case, exporting mailboxes to a PST is the best option.

I found the solution by running the command below:

New-MailboxRepairRequest -Mailbox username -CorruptionType ProvisionedFolder,SearchFolder,AggregateCounts,Folderview

New-MoveRequest –Identity username  –TargetDatabase "Database"  –BadItemLimit 1000 –AcceptLargeDataLoss –SkipMoving FolderRestrictions, FolderViews –Debug -Verbose -Priority Highest
