Default language English stops working when message received in another language - Outlook 365

So is there a way to stop the following..
I have the English language spellcheck enabled. A message is received in e.g. French. The reply is in English. The spellcheck for English stops working - unless the user goes back and resets the language. Any ideas on how to ensure the default reply/send language remains in English..

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

In Outlook 2016

Open a new email message.

On the Review tab, in the Language group, click Language.

Click Set Proofing Language.

In the Language dialog box, uncheck the Detect language automatically check box.
