Exchange 2013 Error: Integrity check for file [\\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy6\Databases\ Failed

Hi Experts ,

Running Exchange 2013 CU17 , we have on 2 databases the error in comvault :

Can i run this below to check or is there an more easy way , Database is in DAG group.

You would use the following steps to run a consistency check against the mailbox database:

1. Dismount the mailbox database

2. Open an Administrator command prompt

2. Change to c:\Myexchange\database path\database.edb (if you have moved the database, the location will be different)

3. Run ESEUTIL /K E00 to verify the log files.

If any of the log files report an error, you can move the log files to a temporary location and remount the database and attempt the backup operation again.

4. Run ESEUTIL /K "mailbox database.edb" to verify the mailbox database.

yes you will need to run ESEUTIL comment to check the database health and intergrity.  Was there any disaster or HD corruption which lead to this error?

Hi ,

There where no disaster or HD corruption where we know off .
We had large databases and migraded them in smaller ones to get more control .
