If you see this error message, I suggest closely examining each proxy used by Veeam i.e can you log into the server, do you have free space left on the OS boot partition.

Check the disk manager for any additional disks that should not belong there, i.e virtual proxies use Veeam Hot Add.
Using the vSphere Client go into the Virtual Machine Properties, open the hardware tab and  check what disks are virtually attached.

Hi,

A easy way to check if the proxy/Veeam Server that is backup have proper connection to this vCenter vs ESXi host , is to open vSphere Client on it, then login(to the particular ESXi host) then open the Datastore and browse (try also to upload/download files from it).

With this you make sure that proxy or the Veeam Server(working as a proxy also) have connection to the ESXi host and that Datastore.

Try this and give us an update so that we can check other possibilities.
