Tape Backup solution you recommend

Dear all,

I have an (HP LTO-7 Ultrium Tape Drive).  it is a single tape drive connected to a single server for regular backup.  I wonder what software should I go for in this situation with fordable price.  There are HP Data protection and Acronis which i believe it is a subscription based.  Would you please recommend some tape Backup Software Solution including the HP Data protection mentioning initial and subscription price.

Thanks in advance.

As I said, Backup Exec will be around the same price, maybe even a bit lower.

Also, I already told you Acronis was a perpetual license. You should know it because your full product name is:

Acronis Backup 12.5 Advanced Server

If you chose the subscription, the full product name would be:

Acronis Backup 12.5 Advanced Server Subscription License, 1 Year

You are just confused about the one year FREE INCLUDED service support agreement. It clearly states this first year is free, and you can cancel it the year after that. You don't need this service, unless you're absolutely incapable of setting up this software, and still need support after a full year of use.

For single server backups Acronis has a one time buy option as well (Acronis calls it perpetual license). If you believe the server will exist more than 2 years, this is the option to go (around 1000 bucks).
Of course Symantec's Backup Exec is still an option, it will be around the same price (Backup Exec, plus agent, even if it's the server itself) also around the 1000 bucks region.

Thanks for your advice.

I looked at Acronis backup solution, but it seams to be a subscription based  check this line below.
https://store.acronis.com/837/purl-corporate-standard-US?cart=201613&quantity_201613=1&x-page=https://www.acronis.com/en-us/business/backup/server/purchasing/advanced/&tracking=&x-segment=corporate&x-support=00550000004bzPE&cookie=true

I believe Backup Exec is a good solution.  Could you tell me if it perpetual or subscription based and the estimated cost for it?
