SBS 2011/Exchange 2010 - Distribution Group to external e-mail addresses

I have an e-mail distribution group that forwards mail to three internal users on our SBS 2011 domain:

  • User1@domain.com
  • User2@domain.com
  • User3@domain.com

How do I forward the same mail to an external e-mail address such as:

  • User1@externaldomain.com

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You need to create and exchange contact with the External address and then add it to the distribution group:
