safari on ipad username and password

Boss says that he USED to login to websites like an online newspaper and once he logged into it with his username and password it would never ask for it again if he visited the site again.  Now (in the last week) he has to login when he goes to the site.  This is happening on more than one site on the ipad that requires a username and password for access.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi MKramer777,

It sounds like the boss has somehow turned off the autofill for Safari. ;) Please follow the instructions below:

1) Go to "Settings"

2) Scroll down to "Safari"

3) Tap on "AutoFill"

4) Toggle on "Names and Passwords"

If he used to have forms filled out for him awhile back, then make sure you toggle on "Use Contact Info" and "Credit Cards". Lastly, let him know that while Safari may fill in most of the forms he goes to, most likely he will have to put in the security code for his credit card (those pesky three numbers on the back) for security reasons.

That's it! Take care.
