AWS ECS do you want to run many contianers per task?

I am confused about when and why to run many contianers in a single task? or should be one task and one container ?

what is the logic for this?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You'll have to define what you mean by containers.

For example, LXD containers are bootable, long running + tend to container entire LAMP Stacks or some other application.

Docker containers, tend to contain a single process with no data persistence. When you stop a docker container, usually this means all data dies as the container dies.

Describe what you're trying to accomplish + likely someone can assist you with design.

In my case, I host many high traffic, high speed, WordPress sites.

My environment is LXD where each container may contain an entire client's sites, multiple clients (all sites) or a single high traffic site, I'd like to instrument separate from any other site.

Each type of project has a specific best design.
