Easiest way to access Google calendar in Outlook 2016

I have a customer with an email address/domain hosted by Google G Suite.

I want to be able to enter appointments in a calendar in Outlook 2016 that automatically show up in a Google calendar.  The customer uses G Suite.  The G Suite tech support staff say the only way to do this is with their "G Suite Sync for Microsoft Outlook", but this requires allowing the program to create a whole new Outlook profile, and sync all emails contacts, calendars, everything.  Right now it looks like the sync is set to complete in approximately 2 days!

There used to be a way to just grab the link to the Google calendar, and enter it into the Calendar tab in Outlook.  But when I do it, Outlook says the URL is invalid.

Is there an easy and quick way to do this?

Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hello Dave,

Since you only need to move your calendars, it is not worth to sync all emails, calendars, contacts into Outlook account. There is software available to sync only Gsuite Calendars to Outlook versions directly. SysTools G Suite Backup tool has a provision to sync Google Apps calendars in Outlook PST with no time. This utility provides an option to select the items to be moved, with no file size limitation for migration.

Hope this will solve your issue.
Thanks and Regards,

If I were you, I will not pay for a sync tool as you need to save the credential of your G suit account in a third party web server to make the tool works.

If you only want to view (not to sync) the Google calendar, try the instruction in the link above.

Thanks Jessica, that worked great!

Jackie, I'm not having any issue syncing by using the Googke-provided tool as is. What charges are you referring to?
Jackie ManIT ManagerCommented:
The tool suggested by Jessica is not provided by Google and is not free.
