workstations can't see each other or server....

hi experts,

 ok so i have 1 server and 5 workstations. when i click on NETWORK in some computers i can see for example computer1 computer2 and computer 3 but i can't see the server. on other computers i can see the server but not the other workstations. BUT if i open explorer and type in \\server AND \\computer1 then it appears under NETWORK??

Frank, could you go to a run command and type in ncpa.cpl and hit enter. Then right click your Ethernet device and go to properties, when you scroll down to the bottom do you have "Link-Layer Topology Discovery Responder" checked (on the workstations)?

hi yes it's checked on all workstations  but multiplexor protocol is uncheck
