USB devices on a VM...

I'm running Hyper V on my Win 10 Pro laptop & have a Win7 VM running there for learning my way around some POS software. I'd like to be able to use a CC swipe with it & see plenty of articles out there on adding a USB HD to a VM, but not so much something like a CC swipe.
The one I'm currently trying is an IDRA-335133B-DL. I found one article that recommended connecting to the VM via RDP, but it's still not showing up.
Any suggestions?

I would recommend you use one of the USB over IP software products, we use

there are many others, if you don't want to reach out to purchase a hardware solution like USB Anywhere by Digi.

We use FabulaTech as well. It just works.

As mentioned above you have to use an adaptor so that the virtual machine can physically move (to a different host) without disrupting the virtual machine. VM's are designed to not be dependant upon the physical hardware of the host.
