Sharepoint Online taking a long time to create subsites

I have a site small site template that is taking a long time to create sites with. The template is small with only 2 document libraries and 5 lists. All are empty. The site has basically nothing in it. When I try to create a site, it take about 7-8 minutes for it to finish. I'm not sure why it is taking so long. Any suggestions on why it would take this long. Thank you.
