Scanning to PC from DocuCenter-V C3376 issues

Hey there,

I can scan to the share fine, but when I scan to PC it automatically saves into a subfolder with the current time and date.
I need it to not do this, because REST Filesmart processes files in the scan folder and can't look into deeper subfolders.
It used to work fine with a C5580 but the client has downgraded.

Any ideas?
I'm on site at the moment, so if I can get an answer soon that would be appreciated!!

You need to login to the web console of the copier to check the option of SMB scan.

"automatically saves into a subfolder with the current time and date" should be a configurable option only from my experience.

It is called a "Filing Options" in Fuji Xerox copier.

Also, you can check the "Filing Options" tab of the Scan UI in the LCD panel of the copier.

I had checked the Filing Options on the copier but there was nothing there.

I've also checked the web interface but I can't see an option to configure SMB other than the tickbox to emable / disable it.
when I view the address book I don't even have options to set a password for the scan folder.

When I look at the Scan Service - Common Settings
the filename format affects the subfolder, but I have no option to change subfolder

I'm not sure if it impacts anything, but the default scan format is TIFF, however I've tried PDF and the same subfolder appears
Just to clarify, this is what I'm seeing...

I tried to look for a way to update the firmware however there was no option available to me.
Something doesn't feel right with this copier...

You need to change the scan format from TIF to PDF.

Even as PDF that saved as a subfolder.
The client has to scan as TIFF because they run a program which polls other scans folders (they all have the same impact) which imports it into an archiving program.

I guess my next question is, how do I firmware update the printer? I can't see anywhere in the web interface, nor can I see any utilities

Do you have a pdf user manual?

You should have enabled a scan option below.

Split into Single File for Each Page:
"Scan document can be split into Multiple single page files."

Read Page 12 of the attached.

You need to uncheck "Single File for Each Page" in LCD panel of the copier.

You will not see the above option in web console.

The secret was because I had it split.

No-where did I see it documented that the split would cause new subfolders to be created :|

Regarding your question on firmware, you need to call the authorized agent for Fuji Xerox to help, but normally you do not need to do a firmware update.
