"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. right click on the desktop, and select personalize. in the lock screen, you have the option of either using cortana's windows spotlight, picture or slide show.
using a slide show as a screen saver, set screen saver to nothing, but require password to access. this may mimic the lock screen and will trigger the slide show.

not sure I understand. Please look at the lock screen option, switch to slide show, where you can point it to a folder that will display the images in a folder when the screen is locked.
You do no need to create a slide show, the images in the folder will be displayed as a slide show by windows .....
go to your picture folder, double click on any image, then look at the options, one of which will be slideshow which will run through the images in this folder .....

Yes I see that, and I ran a couple of scenarios with picture and screen grabs. Would you say using the method you outlined above would be common industry practice?

I just want to make it the easiest method possible.

But yes your suggestion worked above.

Thank you!

Industry practice in what context? This is an individualized per person preference.
Screen saver runs to avoid burned in images in the old days on CRT Monitors. The newer monitors.......

Many likely implement a short duration between screen saver +require password to limit the access of an unauthorized person to a system that has data.
