Vmware Virtual Machine

Hello Experts

I have installed a win2012 r2 VM and I want to install sq. in it. I have setup files in my local data store picture 1.
While I have selected  it is showing only iso images no other files option is available and set up files also
not available. please look into the picture 2. as I don't have iso image only setup file is available. can any  one suggest to mount setup file as a drive.

You are trying to mount an ISO in the above pictures not access the flat files on a Datastore. If you just want to run a EXE or MSI that you have downloaded then you will need to either:

- Convert the installer folder to an ISO
- Drop the install files on a network share and copy over
- Pull the files direct form the internet to the Server and install

If the machine is isolated with no network connectivity and you can not convert it to an ISO there is a long way around, attach another virtual drive to a virtual machine with network access, copy the files to the drive, detach the drive from the machine, re attache the drive to your test machine. You will then be able to access the files on a local drive to the server 2012 server

Do you have SQL ISO ?

I don't have ISO. I have only set up files. that are not visible when I select connect iso image on local disk.
