View Web Page Without Clicking

Is there any way that I can modify this page so that the results will appear without clicking "View"?

Thank you!

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

There are two view's on the page - one top right (button) the second is a link in the empty table - assume you are talking about the first?

Question: Clicking the button (View) takes you back to the server with a post back and some vars to say what you are looking for - why not just have results.asp generate the results right off the bat?

Can you explain more about what it is you are trying to achieve?

I would love to generate the results right off the bat.  I am assuming this is something with the way that I have my jquery set up...still trying to get my footing with jquery.  Suggestions?

No this would be something on the server. From what I can tell when you click View it is posting back to the server with some parameter which is generating the table - my question is - why not simply do whatever that post would have done (Seeing as it goes to the same file) as part of the original page generation. I can't give you specifics because there is no code to refer to.

You could kick off some jQuery on page load that AJAX's the page and loads the result but that rattles my inefficiency obsession - why generate the page twice - if you are getting the same page from the server (plus parameters) the second time why not just render it how you want it the first time?

Fixed it.  I was pulling a bigint from my sql server db and the vbscript in the asp page wasn't seeing it as numeric.  Interestingly, if I did a Trim(lRaceID) it did.

Anyway, thanks for your help.
