Office 365: change send from address

Hi,

I'm migrating from gmail to Office 365 but do not want to change the from address in office365 mail because I might not migrate after all (hate the way things are hidden and just can't seem to make it work as I want for now).
So I found these links:

link: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Send-email-from-a-different-address-ccba89cb-141c-4a36-8c56-6d16a8556d2e?wt.mc_id=o365_portal_mmaven&ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US

https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Change-a-user-name-and-email-address-in-Office-365-fb5ac074-e203-4e1f-9843-b9d1a3e03297

but I simply cannot change the from address or add an alias to my @gmail.com address.

Pls advise.

HI,

Check the following link:

http://oac.med.jhmi.edu/ittutorial/IT_Navigation/SyncOfficeGmail.pdf

It shows how to sync gmail account with office 365.

Cheers
You cannot add aliases for domains you dont own, so obviously no gmail. What you can do however is configure it as "connected account" which allows you to expose this functionality.
