Re-Label GridButtonColumn

I have a Telerik RadGrid and I want to reduce the number of columns by having the View details function trigger when you click on the Subject Title column instead of the View column:

Typical Grid: View    Subject    Date

I want: Subject   Date

I tried to get the Subject label to display in the GridButtonColumn (View) by adding <%=Subject%> in the Text attribute of the GridButtonColumn. Didn't work.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I have solve the issue by employing the following code:

Protected Sub RadGrid1_ItemDataBound(sender As Object, e As GridItemEventArgs) Handles RadGrid1.ItemDataBound
    If TypeOf e.Item Is GridDataItem Then

        Dim dataItem As GridDataItem = CType(e.Item, GridDataItem)

        Dim SubjectText As String = dataItem("boundSubject").Text

        Dim button As Linkon = TryCast(dataItem("btnSubject").Controls(0), Linkon)

        button.Text = SubjectText
    End If
End Sub
