IT Project Task Board

Hello EE,

I manage an IT team and would like to find a software/freeware that we can post a task/project board for the team to see what they have in their project priority list to work.  We have a Helpdesk software for incidents, but this would be to visual projects, due dates and what is in each others buckets and what order.  I am sure others have such a software.  I am looking for something simple and what would you recommend having used and love.

Same thing to what?  There was nothing about restrictions in the original question.  Have you tried something and it failed?  I'm not sure what is blocking access to kanboard.  If you can provide more details we might be3 able to help.  At a minimum, I can try to locate the proper Experts for any specific problem you are having.

Sorry was reading some reports of issues with setup and want to get more opinions since you only had minor experience with.  Figure there must be something more out there that somebody is using in ServiceDesk environment and can speak to how great it is
You do not address any specific requirements you have.  You mentioned IPV6 being blocked.  Before I can try an locate additional Experts, I need to know what that means.

There might be Experts that can recommend various products but they might not meet your requirements so I don;t want to waste your time if you already know they won't work.

Specific - prioritize list, bucket of project, assigned to user, dates

I didn't mean to get into specifics on the one you mentioned.  Just looking to see what others in the industry are using and really find reliable or must have in ServiceDesk/Project work
I liked what I saw from Kanboard but you said you couldn't use it.  IF you can't use it, you probably can't use other online software.  We need to know the requirement/policy preventing you from using Kanboard and the others that failed for the same reason you mentioned.

Have you tried multiple and this is the preferred?  What did you like about it?  What didn't you like about it?

Maybe people aren't using such a thing.
I apologize but from your original question I didn't get that you were looking for that level of detail of "compare and contrast".

I do admit that I've never been a position to evaluate competing products.  The original question asked was "what would you recommend having used and love".

I commented on what I've used and could recommend that you take a look at.  It met my needs.  Your reply was "Tried that and same thing.  Seems to call ipv6 and is being blocked ".

That tells me that you CANNOT use it due to some restriction or configuration/ploicy issue and you were unable to properly evaluate it.

If I've misunderstood things, please clarify what I am missing.

Once I understand the issues, I can attempt to pull in the correct Experts to help you get the answer you want.

I used Trac (https://trac.edgewall.org/) in college several years ago for a few group projects and it worked pretty well.  It's free and looks like it would meet your needs.

Lately we've been using Jira from Atlassian, but I don't think they have a free version.
