Exchange Autodiscover Point to Exchange Online in the Hybrid Environment

I have the hybrid exchange environment in my company. After all the mailboxes are migrated to Exchange online, I would like to change the autodiscover to point to Office365 instead of the on-premises exchange server. However, I would like to keep the hybrid set up and the on-premises exchange server for the management purpose. External autodiscover is easy enough to change by just changing the public DNS. I saw people suggesting to set SCP to null and create the CNAME record to point to office365.
My questions here are:
Is it a good idea to change the autodiscover to point to office 365 as we don't have any mailboxes left in on-premises exchange.
If so, what will be the good approach to change the internal autodiscover record?

Thanks,
Pan
