Want to configure Exchange 2016 certificate

Hello all,

Let me start by saying that i do not know exactly how certificate works. We have Exchange 2016 and we are thinking about using an internal certificate or buying a certificate...not sure what is the best way?

Hi Kiaan,

I will always recommend to use a third party certificate. Third party certificate are more secure, all machines will trust without needing to apply rules, gpo... more secure. They are are "universally" accepted. Internal certificate or self-signed certificate are created by their own Root CA but it will not be trusted.

Hi,

It always depend what exactly you want to buy, they have different prices, offers,...

The most known CA are the following: GoDaddy, Symantec, Digicert,...
