Is there a way to attach a file in OneNote without bulky icon

We have OneNote 2016 and we attach a lot of files to notes (where the  file is saved in the OneNote page, not as link).  The inconvenient is that when inserting these files, it always displays as a large icon.  Below is a pix os a sample OneNote page.  Notice the 2 files as large icons, we want them to be display as like a hyperlink (the circled in red).  Is there a way of doing this?

onenote attach
Please note, that we want the files embedded within  the OneNote not an external link (we want it to be  displayed as an external link).

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Given your restrictions, no. That is the Windows standard icon for an embedded file.

You mean OneNote restriction? Or me as a user or windows user have a restriction? (don’t understand)

The icons you see are Windows standard icons and used in Office including One Note for attached files.

You can try the Scalable Vector Graphics icons for Office 2016.

Tried to do this in OneNote 2016 but can''t, do you know how?

I wasn't sure if it would work. I think that method is used for file management tools, so what you see in One Note is probably all you can get - certainly all I have ever seen.

But do you know how to do this in OneNote?

I do not think there is a way to change system icons in One Note. I use this application daily and do not see a way.

Thank you for following up. I did show this to other Microsoft Experts on Friday and the answer was the same - those are the system icons you are seeing.
