Does Exchange 2010 accept ' when creating a user email address?

Yes, I have a user that has a ' in their name like test.o'neal so when i created their email address it shows as test.o'neal@test.com
It seems to work but when i log into their account thru the admin owa it gives me this error. Is this because exchange doesn't except an ' in the email account?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
