Playing a beep sound on mac using terminal

Hi,
I need to do something like beep 25 and there should be a beep on my Mac laptop a notification or screen flickr will be better... How could i achieve this using some command or script on terminal..

Unsure what a beep 25 might mean.

This will do a normal bell ring on most platforms, including Linux + OSX/Macs...

echo -ne '\007'

To use this in a script, just write a script using echo.

On Macs, you can also use the built in Notifications system.

For a 1 second beep at 1kHz, issue the command

beep -f 1000 -l 1000

If beep is not installed, you can download it from   http://www.johnath.com/beep/
