New PC Windows 10 has gone to black screen after log in

New HP 570-p017c
AMD Radeon R7-450 card
Windows 10

Out of box in an hour and displays black screen after windows log in.
Removed graphics card adapter/software

added a tempuser which seems to have done the trick:  thus question: does this issue with my user log in represent greater issues or is it just a corrupted user file in windows?

thanks

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If new user profile could fix it then it's just a corrupted user profile and nothing more is affected.

appreciate the weekend response folks!  nobus, i set up the temp user as admin.  costco purchase so easy to return.. frankly, i'm tempted to return it - really don't like dealing with bugs so quickly out of the box... i've been a windows user since 1.0 so i'm not afraid of bugs, but wondering if starting from scratch is better path.

can i presume that safe mode and then resetting machine to factory will clean up my set up files for return?

thanks

that depends on the manufacturer - some leave the data alone

Can I presume that performing a factory reset is reasonable to clean the data from my install for store return?  I saw one other quirk after I fixed this issue and that was enough for me to decide to return it. (2nd issue w graphics display).

Factory resetting (not reinstalling)  your computer will destroy all the files on the hard drive.

Reinstalling Windows will keep your old Windows files in Windows.old folder.
you can use  the Windows Disk Cleanup tool to clean that folder.
