Looking for app data on Android

I'm using an open source Android app to scan barcodes: https://github.com/zxing/zxing

I want to access data as it's recorded in realtime, how can i find where the data is stored on my phone?

I can see the data within the app, but where is this data stored? I can use ES file explorer to see the phones files/folders, eg acct, cache, config etc but nothing obvious comes up. I tried searching  eg for 5000149029004 but no luck.

If you have enabled to see hidden files in ES Files Explorer and still not able to see the files you want, it is very likely that you need to root your phone first before you can find them.

Normally, if the app is designed for a way for you to view the in-app Dara easily, the data can be found in the location below.

Internal storage -> Android -> Data -> [app folder]

If the app is designed for not letting you to see the in-app Dara, the data is in a system protected mount point below.

Storage\Emulated\0\[app folder]

Thanks, I've unhidden files & folder but no luck.

There does not appear to be any folder for the app in:
Internal storage -> Android -> Data -> [app folder]

The second folder contains data files exported by the app, but not the app data itself:
Storage\Emulated\0\[app folder]

Any other ideas?

Thanks again

Perhaps if i could search by recently edited files this could reveal the location, is there a way to do this?

I can do this in ES File Explorer but only for files within /storage/emulated/0

I can view by date modified but this doesn't seem to bring anything up.

If you cannot find anything, it means you need to root the phone before you can see them.

It is how the app is designed and you need to root the phone and use SuperSU to view the files.
