OneDrive File Path too long

Hey Guys,

My client uses OneDrive for Business and they are running into a File Path too long limitation.  Is there a resolution to this or a solution through a different provider?  I have researched online and no solution.  I am very disappointed in Microsoft.  Can someone help me with this problem or recommend an alternative cloud service?  Thanks in advance!

It is not a one drive issue, probably the Windows limitation of 256 characters for a file name.
I suggest making category directories and move related docs there.
also try to be less descriptive.

My client receives court documents with long file names.  The file name looks like a long sentence.  Can the latest Windows 10 update fix this issue?

No, the latest update does not fix this (nothing to fix at this point).  Use a very short folder path so that long sentences can be accommodated.

Make it clear to the people making source documents that "simplicity" on their part creates errors and extra work.

If necessary, shorten the filename at the entry point so that is can be stored anywhere.
