Google Voice Forwarding

How do you have it configured right now? And do you ever place out calls over it? I know Google has some rules in place for if you don't use it for a long time

Under "Calls" do you have the expected forwarding number listed?


If that is setup correctly, what happens when you call the google voice number?

I have google voice with forward to another DID on Callcentric.com and is working fine for me. Whatever software or PBX you have your Google number configured or the forwarded number you'll need to check that. it seems the error might be there.

What I would do in your case, is try to add another DID to google to forward to and check if that works. You can get free DID from call centric.com and configure on any sip soft phone for test.

Go to your Google Voice settings and remove your forwarding number and save the page, then, re-enter the forwarding number and settings and save once more.  Make sure any software updates are installed if applicable.   Try making a call and test the forwarding feature .   If it doesn't work think of any changes since it last worked and make sure you have rebooted all devices since making configuration changes.  How long did this work before it stopped forwarding calls? Lots of variables to consider but if I worked at one time I would follow the process I outlined earlier and it should work again.  Good luck with this issue.
