Canon Pixma Pro9000 II can’t print black

A customer’s printer stopped printing in black

If I print in monochrome a blank sheet comes out

Blacks come out as grey
Greys as very light yellow

The print head has been replaced
Cartridges are all full but one which is at 50%

Tried driver cleaning procedures but obtained no improvement

Any ideas ?

I assume you tried a new Printer Driver and if that is the case, the printer needs hardware service.

All other colors come out a little fainter than usual

The Pro9000 was never designed as a monochrome printer and unless you switch it to greyscale you'll always get some dye leakage giving the effects you describe.  If you switch to greyscale and then get no output for a monochrome document then you do have a hardware issue.

What do you get with Nozzle Check > Print Check Pattern?

Thank you and I was happy to work with you.
