Multiple addressbook Lotus Notes domino server

Hello

I have created new address book on domino server, however there are other address book is available for different databases, Now I want to add groups of this newly created address book to Lotus Notes database I am working on, I can see all the addressbook in the list when I go to ACL and see the list but I do not see the newly created addressbook there.

Can anyone please help me on this ?

Why do you want (or need) multiple address books?

Because that is requirement from customer.

Ok, I should have asked my question differently. For what purpose does your customer need multiple address books?

Maybe the solution is to see what Directory Assistance can do for you (see the Help database). It can be used to join multiple address books. You have to change the configuration of the Domino server, create the (usually) da.nsf database and add its name to the Server document.

I have other directory on same server which is not registered on da.nsf but still I can see them while I add them in ACL

Is the new address book derived fron names.ntf? Can you verify that, in the Database Properties box, the new address book has the type Address Book?

yes it is type addressbook

I couldn't tell you right now why that works (maybe you have a local replica end you added that address book to the local address books in your Notes client), but I'm very sure that Directory Assistance works. Could you please test with da.nsf?
