"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

In the standard HP error codes, 50.anything is related to fuser and the development process. So you could replace the fuser if you have a spare one, but unless someone gives you a more specific answer I'd suggest calling HP.

Normally that's the HP Code showing the Intermediate Transfer Belt for the Black toner has been detected as not moving correctly.
If you've recently replaced a cartridge try removing and reseating it, otherwise depending on usage it may be time for a Transfer Kit replacement or it might be a simple mechanical fault that needs further trouble shooting.

These errors can recover from simple power cycling but even if they do are a sign that there's a fault that will eventually need servicing.

Good advice from MASQ there. I also found a mention of that error code being related to a transfer motor. Again, not something that average person fixes themselves.
