it is free/busy that does not work. Exchange 2016 users can see free/busy for 2010 users, issue is when Exchange 2010 users cannot see free/busy for Exchange 2016 users.

And that is supposed to guess that from the question? it's quite hard to guess when there's absolutely no reference to free/busy information in your question. If that's the issue you need to configure the Sharing of the free/busy information between domains, here's an example between an O365 domain and 1 onpremises.
