"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Flash is not needed to move email and I have never seen that Exchange needed it. Just uninstall it. I am not sure why Flash would be on a server in the first place.

You shouldn't need it.  Most likely came along with the Desktop Experience feature.

If you remove that feature you can still add the standard desktop icons by using:
"%Systemroot%\system32\rundll32.exe" shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL desk.cpl,,0
