Dell T605 with SAS 6/iR controller rebuilding drive stuck at 1%

I have a Dell T605 with SAS 6/iR controller with 2 drives (RAID 1) that failed a drive. I shut the server down and replaced the drive with the same model of disk.  Server booted back up and opened Dell Open Manage and saw drive was rebuilding.  It has been stuck at 1% for 24hours.  Any ideas?

Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Since I posted this I went ahead and updated the Dell Open Manage Software to version 8.5 and  the drive reads online. Hope this helps anyone else with this issue.

Just a couple of comments:

Updating the controller firmware, system ESM/BMC/iDRAC, and/or OMSA can ensure that everything is communicating in the same language.

Not unusual for SATA to take a long time (24 hours may be excessive for 1TB), and even longer for non-server drives like NAS or laptop drives.
