change from freefile to a specific sheet to save information

excel vba

I currently have this code saving a Column Letter to a freefile on my pc...

What I need:
I need it now to  save the Column letter to a specific sheet in the current workbook and
"SheetData" and specifically  cell  "A1"

' ENTER VARIABLE HERE FROM TEXT FILE
Dim RowNumber As Integer, FileNum As Integer
Dim InFile As String, Curline As String

InFile = "C:\Program Files\Enterprise\Defaults\Column_Wwg_Located_Worksheet.txt"
FileNum = FreeFile

Open InFile For Input As FileNum

Line Input #FileNum, Curline
mCwrange = Curline
Close #FileNum

Thanks

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You haven't actually "saved" anything. Freefile is a just a number used to [/]refer[/i] to a potential file.

To write to a file do something like this
Dim RowNumber As Integer, FileNum As Integer
Dim InFile As String, Curline As String

InFile = "C:\Program Files\Enterprise\Defaults\Column_Wwg_Located_Worksheet.txt"
FileNum = FreeFile

Open InFile For Input As FileNum

Line Input #FileNum, Curline
mCwrange = Curline
Close #FileNum

FileNum = FreeFile
Open FilePath For Output As FileNum ' Change FilePath to your path
Write #FileNum, mCwrange
Close

Open in new window
