Oracle sql developer loading dbobjects

Experts,
In oracle sql developer the db objects taking for ever to load. This is happening for only one particular instance and user.
If i connect with sys and then go to the user then objects are loading in the panel.
What could be the issue?

database version ...

gather dictionary statistics on that slow instance.
exec dbms_stats.gather_dictionary_stats

might also have to gather stats on fixed objects:
exec dbms_stats.gather_fixed_objects_stats

do you use the recyclebin ?
empty it
purge dba_recyclebin;

It may be some caching issue.

Please refer this - https://community.oracle.com/thread/2564842

can you also show properties of sql developer  -> check for compatibility mode under compatibility.

what exactly do you mean with loading ?
are you loading objects ? or data ?

via a query ?
have you got the explain plan of the query ?

1 particular instance ?
is the oracle database setup as a RAC ?
or is it a single instance database ?

In oracle sql developer in connection pane if I expand the instance by clicking the plus symbol it does not load the list of tables views , stored procedures etc. this is for only one DB I have 4 others dbs running in the server where I can get the objects listed in the pane instantly
