-Confirm:$false
it's a common parameter to tell PowerShell not to ask for a confirmation, because for some commands is set to  "$true" by default, like any remove-something cmdlet.

Hi Jose,

Thank for your reply. The above command which I have mentioned is right command to set the mailbox database so that it can not be mounted automatically?

In addation to my last comment, If I run the below command then would passive copy would also stop the replication/seeding from active copy?

Suspend-MailboxDatabaseCopy -Identity DB2\MBX2 -ActivationOnly -Confirm:$False

Hi Asif, the issue why i can't talk about yes or no is because you haven't defined your infrastructure. That command is meant to suspend the Mailbox Database Copies within a DAG to do maintenance or other kinds of operations on the server, so I don't know if it's gonna work or not in your case because I don't know the infrastructure.

Hi Jose,

I have two sites for Exchange ( Actiive and Passive). I want to add the mailbox database copies of passive site so that they can not mount automatically untill or unless I want incase of switch over.  I have found these two below commands so I want to know the difference between them.

Suspend-MailboxDatabaseCopy -Identity DB2\MBX2 -ActivationOnly -Confirm:$False

Suspend-MailboxDatabaseCopy -Identity DB1\MBX1 -SuspendComment "Maintenance on MBX1" -Confirm:$False
