Bitlocker Protected Drive Recovery

I have had a windows 7 ultimate operating get corrupted after a power outage.  We have been unable to get the computer to boot into any version of safe mode, nor will it repair itself using the windows repair.  I cloned the drive, then booted with a windows 10 media disk to upgrade the operating system.  Windows doesn't like this and says it isn't able to install from having booted on the media disk.  I am told to load the upgrade from the windows 7 operating system.  This won't work either because I can't it to boot into windows 7, due to the constant reboot upon hitting the corrupted operating system.    I do have the bitlocker key on a usb.

Ultimately we are trying to recover the PST on the drive, but haven't been able to.  Any help would be appreciated.

To recover the data: boot win10 setup, press shift f10 when at the language selection screen -> a command prompt will appear. In there launch:
manage-bde -unlock c: -rk e:\B4ACF6D8-B1EC-404B-AA5A-somename-2E645882ED.BEK"

Attention: you need to substitute e: for the drive letter of your USB key.
When this works and it's unlocked successfully, you can browse through the files on c: using either the command line or notepad's open dialogue (notepad is part of setup's WinPE). You could also use total commander trial: download it, extract it onto your setup stick, start it from that command line.
