Outlook 2016 Not Working

Folks,
The images below are my Outlook 2016 settings I have always used for my bellsouth.net account.
In the first image I am now being asked to enter my username and password. The username and password are correct. Yet this question comes up time and time again (I keep a log of all my passwords). I've tried a repair as well as reinstall Outlook 2016. Nothing seems to work.

Assuming you have the record of settings as you note above, remove the Outlook profile and remake it.

1. Go to Control Panel, Mail, and remove (delete) the Outlook Profile. This does not delete the PST file but you may wish to back it up to be certain.

2. Close out and restart the computer.

3. Do NOT open Outlook. Go to Control Panel, Mail and make a new Profile and Account from here. Do not use the Wizard, but create the email account manually.

Outlook 2016 changed about a month ago and above is now how we have to make accounts.

did the provider change their settings?  This happens from time to time.

You could also try without encryption (port 110 for POP and 25 for SMTP)

Make a new, test, Windows User Profile (Account). Log into the new Windows Account and try setting up Outlook.

Use Control Panel, Mail to set up Outlook.

Does it work in the new Windows Account?

John,
Once I complete a thorough malware and virus scan I will do a repair on Office 2016. You sent me a link one time about repairing Windows 10 Professional. Please send me that link. I want to make sure Windows 10 is ok, no malware or virus and I have a good repair on Office 2016. I also recall a command scanf /f (?). When is get these processes done I see if Outlook works.

Here is the method for a non-destructive Windows 10 Repair Install

Go to the Media Creation Link
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Windows 10 is running, so click on the Download button (not Upgrade Button, select Open (Run) but NOT Save. Allow the program to run. Allow drivers to update. Then select Keep Everything.

John,
After exhausting myself I was able to get Outlook working and here's why. AT&T had locked my account - but they did send me an email that I could not received because my account was locked out. Anyway, I never had a problem until AT&T locked me out. Everything is working.
