Looking for a app that will lock windows

Have a computer that does not turn on screen saver for some reason even it is set to do so . But I want the computer to get locked after 30 minutes of inactivity, is there a app that would accomplish this without instead of investigating what keeps windows from turning on screen saver.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Potentially whatever is preventing the system from meeting the inactivity test you set for the purposes of a screen saver, would potentially prevent a third party app that supposed to perform the same function.

See whether the system is due to apply updates, etc or .....

It is much more interesting to me to identify the issue, and resolve it versus paying for a screen saying alternative.

Check the system manufacturer's tools to make sure their power management tools are not what overrides your Windows settings.
Dell, hp, Lenovo I believe include their own system management tools including power management and other settings/controls.

The command rundll32.exe user32.dll, LockWorkStation should do this. Try putting the command in a desktop batch file.

Why not fix screen saver?    dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth and restart, test.

I highly recommend ChrisPC Lock. I've used it for years.

A great feature is that, unlike windows screen saver, moving the mouse or typing, does not trigger
the password request .....   ..... You have to click the mouse.

You can also lock your PC anytime with a programmed keyboard combination.
