I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Slack also has video conferencing. The other one you suggested I'll have a look. I'm also looking into Spark
Cris HannaSr IT Support EngineerCommented:
you might check out Microsoft Team, but not sure how much control you get
Dan CraciunIT ConsultantCommented:
You could use OpenFire as the server and then an XMPP client that you like.
Spark, Jitsi, etc.

You will need to host your own server, though.

Try 'Microsoft Teams' which is integrated with Office apps and Office 365. https://products.office.com/en-us/microsoft-teams/group-chat-software

It has only chat facility (individual as well as group). Files can shared across instead of send, integrated One note function, meeting schedules  and much more.

We use Ipswitch instant messenger.  I like it because it has good centralized control over IM groups, etc.  The only downside is that it has not been updated in a couple years, but it works pretty well for what it is.
